One of the top prep arms in the 2023 draft class, Thomas White has steadily rose through the pro ranks in Miami’s system. He was still very raw upon his entrance into pro ball in 2023, but really started to clean things up last year as he posted a 2.81 ERA and a 20.0 K-BB% in 21 starts across Low-A Jupiter and High-A Beloit. White has added 30 pounds to his already big league-ready frame, and added velocity because of it. He’s routinely reaching upper-90s with his fastball and features two different breaking balls - a tighter mid-80s slider and an upper-70s to low-80s sweeping slider that is more like a slurve. His developing changeup has also flashed some excellent results. The final piece to the puzzle for White is consistent command.
