Braden Montgomery was the only prospect to crack the pre-season top 50 despite not having made his professional debut yet. He went down with a fractured ankle in the Super Regional round of the 2024 NCAA tournament but has seemingly returned to form upon his introduction to professional baseball. His ability to adjust to pro pitching despite having been off the field from June of last year until spring training this year has certainly stood out. An advanced switch hitter, Montgomery is hitting well from both sides of the plate, with more of his home runs actually coming from the right side in less plate appearances, while logging a .769 OPS as a left-handed hitter. An above-average athlete with one of the best arms in Minor League Baseball, Montgomery projects as a right fielder full-time as he continues to physically mature, but has gotten plenty of run in center field as well.
